Jack Beckman Returns to Drive For John Force Racing in 2025: NHRA Funny Car Champion

Jack Beckman Returns to Drive For John Force in 2025

The 2025 NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) season schedule is finally out with around 21 races to take place. However, the upcoming season is a hot topic because Jack Beckman is finally making a full-time comeback.

Jack Beckman is a seasoned driver and former Funny Car champion who will be driving the Peak Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS Funny Car under the label of John Force Racing (JFR), marking a significant period in both his career and the team’s legacy.

This decision comes after Beckman’s impressive performance in the 2024 NHRA season. Towards the end of the 2024 season, he filled in for the legendary John Force (also owner of John Force Racing) after Force’s high-speed crash at Richmond.

Beckman stepped in for Force under challenging circumstances and not only showcased his exceptional driving skills and competitiveness but also secured two event wins and finished second in the championship standings. Such an impressive performance under extreme pressure influenced JFR’s decision to bring him back for the upcoming season.

Old World Industries, the parent company of Peak Antifreeze and Coolant, supports Beckman’s return to racing. The company has extended its partnership with JFR, ensuring Beckman will drive the Peak-branded Chevrolet SS Funny Car and will have all the resources and support he needs to contend for the 2025 championship.

Brian Bohlander, Director of Sports Marketing for Old World Industries, expressed the company’s enthusiasm and confidence in Beckman’s abilities, stating, “Jack has proven himself to be an extraordinary competitor. His performance in 2024 showed his resilience and skill, and we’re excited to see what he can achieve in a full-time role.”

Jack Beckman’s return to JRF marks his first full-time driving role since 2020, and he is not just excited but eager to capitalize on this opportunity. During one of NHRA’s 2024 PRI shows, Beckman said, “I am thrilled to continue a partnership with Peak and BlueDef and look forward to returning to JFR in 2025.” For more insights into Beckman’s return and his outlook for the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, you can watch the following interview:
